  timeline will not play

  Media composer 5 nvidia fx 1700 with correct drivers, quicktime version 7.66 Timeline plays to external monitor fine but preview window in composer does not. I can scrub along and see video but hit play cursor moves along but video freezes

  Do you have any windows or pallets overlapping?
  Is it slightly offscreen?

  No I’ve checked that too
