• Avid Media Composer

  Avid Media Composer 3 and Windows 7…

  The circa 2006 laptop we run MC3 on has a fried motherboard so instead of replacing the board for $900+ we just want to buy a new laptop. We have no intention of upgrading to Media Composer 5 so I was wondering if MC3 would work well enough on a 64bit machine and Windows 7.

  Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

  My bet is you won’t be able to properly install it.

  Yeah I have my doubts as well. I think we either need to update our software so that it’s compatible with W7 or try to find a new machine we can simply install XP on.
