    Guys,

Bit of a weird one here but…

I’ve created some GFX QTs (Animation, RGB, Upper Field, 1080i/50) in the Avid and I need to send it to my mate who editing on Premiere. He’s also working in a HD project (HDV I think). However, he’s not that experienced on Premiere and I’m worried that he’s importing the QTs incorrectly (or at least ‘interpretting’ them wrong).

We’ve tested him Importing a GFX, cutting it together with some video footage, then Exporting it back as a QT to me. When I check the QT the video footage is correct (Fields in the right order etc…), but my GFX is messed up (Fields are blending weridly). I’m guessing that because the video looks correct his QT Export settings are all good, so I think he’s Importing/Interpretting my QT GFX wrongly.

Does anyone know what settings he needs to ensure to correctly use my GFX?

I’ve never used Premiere, and he’s just getting his head around it.

    Sounds like a progressive/interlace problem.

    Thanks for the reply Ricky.
Yeah kind of what I thought.
Now I think we have it sorted, although it seems to not like Animation QTs over a certain length!
    Oh well…
