    Hello

I am just going to shoot a short film on PMW EX3 on 1080p on various SXS(memory) cards. After shooting I want to down convert the video into SD so as to edit it easily on my DELL STUDIO 15 as it doesn’t have the configuration required to edit online. So after I go offline how will I be able to maintain time code so as to re render project online after I finish edit by the means of an EDL.

Can you please explain how time code works on memory cards. I am just a bit old fashioned. Still love tapes and film.

I will be editing on Avid Media Composer 3.

    Help will be appreciated.

P.S. Rather than configuration I don’t want to rent an edit suite as I am low on budget and I want to edit it myself.

export your edl, bring it into a new avid project and batch from the bins.
It will reference the original TC of your raw ftg.
