    Hi,

We shot footage in a few different formats:

    1) On an HVX 200 – Footage shot to Cards at HD 720p/60
    2) On an DVX100b – Footage shot to tape. 24p
    3) On a DVX 100 – Footage shot to tape on 24p and 24pa (only 1 tape)

    Upon the suggestion of a friend, I started a 23.98 avid project — It’s actually a project type: 1080p/23.976

I’m mixing the framerates and formats in the timeline and everything looks fine while I’m editing. But when I export to QT, I’m getting interlacing problems with some of the footage. Because there’s so many different types of footage, I don’t exactly know why this is happening.

Also, the footage shot at 720p/60 will not export at all. It comes out black in the “same as source” QT. When the 720p/60 footage is mixed with other footage, the 24p footage comes out interlaced and the QT freezes on the 720p/60 footage.

Another problem I’m having is that every time I go in and out of the project, the 720p/60 footage goes offline. I re-import P2 highlighting “Clips to Bin” and it all comes back with the locator marks I had been using, but it’s just a hassle to have to do this. Am I doing something wrong? Will upgrading solve the problem. (hoping to avoid this until the new mac pros come out)

Please advise. I can’t seem to get a straight answer on any of these questions. Thanks,

    eric
