  Importing audio files into Meridien – muddy sound and clipping

  After importing .wav audio files (24bit, 48k) into meridien, the audio sounds muddy with excessive clipping. When the same audio files are transferred into an adrenaline system, the audio sounds perfect. All settings appear to be the same. What could possibly be happening to the files on the meridien platform? Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

  Are these files being panned to the center, and the summed? That would raise the levels. If there are phasing issues, that may make it muddy. Also double check the analog output levels on the 888 if you have that box.
