So I have two mono tracks, already edited into my sequence, I’d like to merge into one of those nifty new multichannel stereo tracks. Easily, I can do this procedure in the opposite direction and “Split All Tracks to Mono,” but I want to merge two mono tracks that are already in my timeline into stereo. Yes, yes, I am aware that you can “modify” the audio clips in the bin and “set multichannel audio.” Here’s the deal, I originally edited this music bed for a radio ad using a stereo multichannel track.. cool as hell I might add, and about time, that Avid is offering this feature. Just playing around with my new MC5 upgrade I split my music bed tracks to mono, reminiscent of legacy audio editing in Media Composer. Now I’d like a slick way of merging the two back together without having to modify the original and re-edit. Any ideas fellow bovines? And yes, I’ve read the manual, hung out with Avid at NAB and recently attended their local MC5 seminar. Nowhere have I been able to get this question answered.

    Thanks Folks

I do not know of a way to get this done, either. Should be a feature request.

bit of a work around but could you load the sequence into you source monitor and cut it back into itself?
