  ADD Edit doesn’t work

  We have two versions of AVID XPRESS on different location.
  Machine 1: AVID XPRESS 5.7
  Machine 2: AVID XPRESS 4.6

  Material was captured (more then 40 hours) on machine 1.
  But by mistake captured in mxf format.
  We wanted to edit on machine 4.6.
  So we consolidated the clips from mxp to omf.
  Now I can read the clips on machine 2.

  But since we did this, both machines are not able to use the ADD EDIT shortcut.
  What I did was:
  – pressing the assinged key (H) which always worked, but no result now
  – relink a new hotkey to “ADD EDIT” command (no result)
  – hit above the timeline the ADD EDIT button (no result)
  – made a new settings account, no change

  The strang thing is that it is on both machines.
  Even in old projects is doesn’t work.

  Please someone any idea????
  The deadline for this project is coming closer and closer.

  create some new user settings, remap and give it a whirl.

  Try creating a new project on the older system.

  Drag the bins into the new project and see if things work normally.

  Thanks John, A tried earlies this week, whitout result.

  What I did, was (after backup my mediafiles) a new installation of XP and AVID XPRESS and it works again without any problem.
