  AE text… not a roll, just text

  Forgive me, I’ve apparently gone mad. All I want to do is create a comp with text over a background in after effects 864×486 and bring it into a 1:1 animorphic 30i project. But everything I try is giving me really lousy results, it appears to be a field issue, the Avid is only showing me one field at a time, yes the timeline is set to green, not green/yellow, I exported lower field first, imported lower field first, and just for grins by now I have tried virtually every combination I could think of. There has got to be some switch or something I’ve missed. argh. using animation codec, although by now I have tried Avid 1:1, Avid meridian uncompressed, and I am getting nowhere. Bring in the same comp into a progressive project and it looks fine.
  any ideas?

  Make sure you are importing it at 1:1.
  The uncompressed meridien codec will work fine. Don’t rezize upon import (I’m thinkin that’s it). Use the first selection (601) in your import settings. Invert the alpha and you’re golden. You’ll wanna monitor on a real monitor… not just your computer screen.
