So I needed to re partition my external hard drive. Before I did this I moved everything that was on the drive to another external drive. Then I partitioned the drive, I didn’t reformat it or anything, and then I moved all the files back on to the drive. Now when I open all of my past projects everything is golden, no problems. But…there is one project that just so happens to be the one I am wrapping up that all the media is offline. I tried to use the media tool, but all the files in there come up off line. So I tried to batch import but it is telling me that I can not import that type of file. They are all mxf files and I really don’t know why it is not linking the files. I tried to relink, but that doesn’t work either. Any clue what I can do ?? The files are in my Avid Media Folder

Delete your media database. Go into the folder, sort on ‘type’ and you’ll see a .mdb. Delete that and the .pmr file. You should be golden…

They should live in Avid MediaFiles/MXF/1. You did not mention the MXF subfolder…

Yeah sorry I didn’t mention that they are in the MXF < 1< folder. And I tried deleting these files, which Avid should rebuild once you open the project correct? This didn't work either 🙁 still offline.
