Missing “Import P2”
Under the “File” pull down in my Avid Media Composer 4.0.5 I see the Import selection, but not Import P2 like the manual says. I am trying to import some MXF AVC-Intra 100 files and I’m getting an error that says “You can not import this file into a bin” Has anybody seen this or gotten past this problem? If so I would love to hear about it. Thanks in advanced for any help.

Import P2 has been replaced with Avid’s AMA system from version 3.5 on, I believe. Read about how to use it in the help menu (I haven’t used it so I can’t help), or go through your settings and disable it and you’ll get the Import P2 option back (I think it requires a restart of the software after you disable AMA).
