Media Composer v2.8 & Mojo SDI not working
Running a Media Composer v2.8 and Mojo SDI on a Mac Pro Quad Core Intel, OS 10.5.8
We have a HD/SDI monitor hooked up through the mojo SDI and we can’t view it. Video Output Tool does not show SDI as and option. Have tried Component but still nothing on the monitor.
Seems like Mojo is being recognized…i have the option on the timeline to go from DNA to 1394.
Please help?!?! can’t seem to figure out why it’s not working. i do have the mojo plugged into it’s own firewire bus as well.
in my avid, the DNA option shows up on the timeline, but in my video display settings the option DV Output Select is grayed out. so i can’t tell it to send video out to my monitor. the weird thing is i’m hearing the audio playback thourgh the Mojo but no video.

are you seeing the mojo splash screen on your sdi monitor with the mojo on, but the avid closed?

no i’m not seeing that image when the mojo is on and the program is not open.

Are you in an HD project? Mojo SDI only outputs SD. There’s no way to feed HDSDI out of it.
If you’re in an HD project, switch to the comparable SD project (if there is one) then try to output to your standard def SDI input or component input on your monitor. That’s really your only monitoring option when working with HD and an SDI Mojo. Realtime downconvert from an SD project.

Yes I’m in an HD 1080i project. Now that makes a lot of sense. thanks for the info. I’ll try the SD project and see if it works.
