    Hey,

I have to put my movie on digi beta tape at the local videohouse.
    They use avid mediacomposer
I rendered the movie out of Final Cut pro as a self contained movie.
Can i open this file, straight in Avid mediacomposer?
What else do i need to be aware of?

    Thx

Avid will be able to open most FCP files depending on codec used.

Also, importing QT files in Avid can take a while depending on the files size and codec used. If possible, use an Avid codec (downloadable from their website) and it will do a “fast import”.

Also, if the file is large and you have it on hard drive, make sure the system you are taking it to is on a Mac. Otherwise you will need to format the drive (or make a partition) so a PC can see the drive.

Those are my two quick thoughts.
