Virtual Clips Import Made Easier?
Hello all: I’m working with Media Composer 3.05 amd I have a timeline with many virtual P2 clips. Aside from manually going to each of several bins and matching up the P2 clip file names with those on my timeline, is there an easier way of selecting only my timeline clips when it’s time to Import P2> Media. Otherwise I have to identify each of the clips, figure out which bin it came from and then import.
There must be an easier way. Thanks! Craig

A typical method would be to create a “decompose” bin and decompose your sequence, which will create a new master clip for each of that sequence’s video clips. I’m not sure how trustworthy decompose is with P2 “virtual clips” though.
I would most likely open all bins that contained used clips, then highlight your final sequence in its bin and go to the hamburger menu and “select sources”. Copy all of the highlighted sources into a separate bin then load media from there.
