Avid Media Composer 4 – mixed media question
I have not tried the new product yet. I have a question for someone who has….
You can play out mixed media (with different frame rates) in real time. Does this mean I can also print to tape in the same fashion?? Or, will Avid tell me to transcode/render before I try??

Depends upon your system and the quality you have selected for the motion effect.
A Symphony Nitris Classic will have no problem with the basic effect. An Adrenaline might. If you decide to go with a higher quality render, you will also lose RT.
BTW: Once you see this in action you will be nothing short of amazed!

no. switching the project type tells Avid which input to grab the video from.

Maybe one day they’ll build the option into the Capture tool. Would save a few clicks.
