    Hi,

I’m running MC 3.1.3 on MAC OS 10.5.8. Quicktime 7.6.2. I am having a lot of problems.

First off, I can’t launch MC without getting an Assertion:Error message. I can get
by that by clicking “debug.” Anytime I go to the desktop or another application
and come back to the Avid I get the same Assertion:error message. I used
to be able to get past it by clicking “debug.” Once I clicked debug I could work.

I tried everything I could to fix this error – reinstalled the software multiple times. Deleted
MC state. Delete MSM files on my OMF files and AvidMedia files. Nothing worked. I figured
I would continue working by just clicking “debug.”

Now, when I’m in my project and make a new bin I can see the bin in the project
window but I can’t see the physical bin. It indicates it’s open but there is no bin!

I’ve been on the Avid for many, many years and have never seen such issues.

Anyone with any advice – I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks so much.

    Ken
