P2 Media getting corrupted…or wha?
We have a situation in which our P2 media is either getting corrupted or just lost. Not sure what’s happening. I’ll describe.
We get the MXF media into the system successfully. We go about editing. Then, at some random point, you’ll return to that project and footage will not be available. Today, when I tried to play the timeline, it just gave me a disk_access_denied error.
If I try to load the footage, it just shows up as black in the source monitor. Additionally, if you view by “frames,” what you see in the Source monitor is the current frame of the timeline, repeated in place of all the normal thumbnails.
The last time this happened I deleted db files and let them rebuild (no help there) and then reimported the footage. Initially that didn’t seem to work either, but later in the day the footage was back…
What worries me is that this is happening more and more. There must be some underlying problem…
