I have some old HD footage that I must still use and it was brought in upconverted from 720p to 1080i a little over a year ago. Now to present day we have footage being aquired on P2 at 1080p 23.97. I will need to mix a little of the old footage with the new. What would be the best way of converting the old to go with the new and what it the best procedure for outputting for final master at 1080i 59.94? Here is the other catch it will be output via a file format to be played on a server so there is no deck available in between or hardware to do the conversion. Any ideas or examples would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Two options.

1: Send your 30 frame footage through a Terranex at a facility that handles frame conversions. It will be the cleanest method though expensive. You would really want to have a reel that is pared down to just the footage you are going to actually use with this method to save on cost. If you can go back to the original 720P to do the conversion that would be even better.

2: Capture your footage in a 60i project and use the Fluidmotion effect to convert as explained here:
