    Hi guys,

    I work for a web company and we are trying to put together a powerful avid machine. please tell me what you think of these specs.

    Niveus 4000 is a high performance Linux workstation based on the latest Intel “Nehalem” architecture and designed to accommodate Tesla GPU coprocessor cards.

    * Intel 5400 Chipset (Seaburg)
    * 2 x Intel E5400 Series Quad Core CPUs
    * 3 x NVIDIA TESLA C1060 coprocessor cards, each with 4GB local memory
    * Up to 32 GB RAM, Up to 4 SATA/SAS/SSD Drives

    As far as I know Avid doesn’t run on linux.
    If you want to be able to take advantage of avid tech suport than i would get an avid qualified PC or mac.

    avid can be pickey about motherboards/chipsets.
    do some research on the user forums at the avid website. over there you have a lot of people running unqualified pcs with sucess.
