  maintaining aspect ratio on import

  Working on a Mac OS 10.5.5 and MC 3.0.5. SD NTSC project. I go to import a 720×405 square pixel (16:9) QT and regardless of which Image Size Adjustment option I choose on import (Do not resize smaller images/ or /Resize image to fit format raster), the clip comes in ever so slightly stretched horizontally. Why is this? The older versions had options that referred to square/non-square pixels. But the differece is too slight to be a square vs. non-square issue. It is more a case that the Avid is just not maintaining the aspect ratio correctly.

  You’ll need to make it 720X540 to import is as square pixel ntsc.
