Hello, all. Here are 6 reference tables detailing common video codecs, audio codecs, image formats, and computer interfaces. They were assembled from white papers, wikipedia, online forums, and personal experience, so it’s entirely possible there is incorrect info– please let me know if you spot something so I can fix it (or if there’s anything I should add). But remember that these are COMMON codecs and formats, so please don’t ask me to add your uncle’s implementation of MPEG 1. Enjoy!

    Very nice job. Thank you.

I’ve been maintaining some charts as well — but yours are superior.

Still, I do have a couple of entries that you don’t have.

Know any way I share them with you?

Also…your Avid Shortcut file seems to have disappeared.

    Is it located somewhere else?

You can email me through my profile if you like. Also, the Avid Shortcut guides have been relocated to here:

I just “Extended” the relationship — but not sure how to email through profile.

Thanks very much for the updated Avid Shortcut URL.

Wish I could modify it for PC.

I actually don’t know how it works at the COW. I guess I’ll just give it to you:
