I’m having a problem making the HMC150 “over-crank” trick work in MC 3.5.

We shot the footage at 60p, but when I import it into a 24p project, Avid just coverts the video to 24p and it plays back at full speed. I’ve tried selecting the ‘no pulldown’ option in the Film/24p settings, but nothing seems to work.

My work around is importing the 60p video into a 60p project, using motion effect to set the playback at 40%, exporting the video, and then importing it into a 24p project. Which is a bummer.

Maybe I’m just misunderstanding the trick here, but I thought I’d be able to get slow motion with having to apply a motion effect.

    Nathan,
As long as you are progressive could export a image seq out of 60 and then import it into 24. This works…Harry

Thanks guys. I’ll give the 60p image seq solution a go.
