  Installing AVID Media Composer 3.5 (software version) on a Power Mac G5

  I’ve really done it – I bought Media Composer 3.5 for my wife, who has a Power Mac G5. I found a PDF under system requirements that says it was compatible with PowerPC, but I didn’t read the fine print – AVID never updated the PDF after 3.0. Now I have editing software I can’t install. Before I return it or attempt to install it (since neither AVID nor the reseller will take it back) has anyone successfully gotten 3.5 to work on a quad G5?

  I don’t believe it will even install, unfortunately.
