    Hi
I have been working with Media Composer 3.1.2 on a macbook pro os version 10.5.5 for several months with any problems. However I just bought an analogue mojo second hand and can’t seem to make it be recognised by MC. I have tried powering everything down and rebooting but I still get the message, ‘no avid dna detected’. I have connected the mojo to the macbook with a firewire 400 and have no other drives attached. Is this a firmware issue?
    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Hi,
I use a AVID Mojo long, Since 2005, I have it connected to an hp nw8440, Workstation is a laptop and I am doing very well, My version of Media Composer 3 and recognizes it very well.
Make sure that the light "host" on this, If it is not, The following faults can be the following:
1.Not properly connected the firewire cable 6 pin – 4 pin
2.Firewire card or port is not omologado by AVID (visit AVID and see Las compatilidades)
3.The Mojo this broken, As I spend a year and buy some light not lit the "host", Cost me € 480 and the blessed relief.

Also tell you to be careful with the firewire cable you use, Who is the original Mojo or to try several, I also move that I was recognized with some, And AVID recommends that the cable does not exceed more than 1,5 meters.

Greetings, I hope that is not what you bought defective.
