    Hello everybody,

I have encountered a glitch that I hope someone can help me with.
When in AvidXPress Pro, I have exported 9 timelines all the same way as QT Refs to use in Sorenson. When in Sorenson (I don’t have the handy “send to sorenson” choice) I was able to follow the instructions with ease for 6 of the 9 clips. I opened Sorenson then opened the video .mov file and then linked the audio to it. They squeezed no problem.
But 3 of them would open the .mov file as an audio file. Lots of sound but no picture. Nothing was different from the other 6. I even deleted the 3 and re-exported them to double check – still won’t work.

Any help or thoughts on this?

    Much appreciated,

    Liz

Liz, I have had this issue before as well. It has to do with how the Avid exports the Quicktime Reference.

I would recommend against the send to option. Export Quicktime reference to a folder, then squeeze them one at a time. Always drag the video file, and not the audio file. Audio will follow.

This allows you to resend if there is an issue without constantly exporting quicktimes.
