I shot two actors in front of a green screen. I lit them with 2 lights in front and a kicker in the back. The problem I’m having now is that their shadows intersect behind them making the screen very dark in between them. My computer cannot isolate that dark green enough to pull it out. I cannot reshoot it because the actors are back in LA.
I went through the tutorial on creating core and edge mattes, but still cannot get anything out of it without totally blowing out the picture.

Any help would be MOST helpful. This is ‘lose my job’ stuff here if I can’t figure this out.

I’m not a pro at AE but I will try.. Can you mask out the shadows on both actors and and re-create the shadows?

it is in deed. are you saying I should mask out the bad areas and key frame the whole thing to have the mask follow the actors’ movements?
if that is what you’re saying, you should know that this is about 30 minutes long and they move a lot. if that isn’t what you’re saying, please help me understand.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Have you tried using Key Light 1.2 in AE?
