  Onlining to HD on Xpress Pro 5.8

  Using Xpress Pro 5.8, I recently uploaded some DV and HDV tapes into a 30i project at DV 25 411 resolution. My boss told me I need to export full rez WMVs of the project. I have two questions:

  1. Can I online the HDV footage using my current Avid system into a 1080i project, or do I need a more advanced system such as Avid HD, MC, or Adrenaline?

  2. Is my DV footage degraded because I imported at DV 411, or is that pretty much the standard as far as DV quality goes? Would have importing at DV 50 or 1:1 made any difference?

  I know these are simple questions. Thanks to anyone who can help!
