I got a timeline with material from two different cameras. one is HDV and the other one is MXF (panasonic hvx 201)

I noticed, that the only way to not loose any color information, i have to export the HDV shots by using the 709 setting (so that the whites and blacks don’t get clipped) , while the MXF material has to be exported by using the RGB setting, otherwise the contrast gets much higher. (I have to export the stuff as sequential files (jpeg/Targa))

How can I export the whole sequence, without either loosing the HDV whites and blacks or changing the contrast from the MXF shots?

or do i have to export shot by shot with the right colorrange setting? (What does not make any sense to me…)

does anyone have a solution for this problem? 🙂

What are you exporting to and with what purpose?
The 709 setting will not alter any levels, so you retain all original levels of the source footage. So that would be the best setting when exporting for color correction.
