  720×480 Import Issues

  I created an uncompressed QT from FCP to bring into my Avid MC. No matter which setting I used in Avid for import, the logo move in the spot was aliased and jittery. The only fix I could do was to bring it into AE into a 720×486 composition. Then Avid liked it, but my video was now compromised. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Many thanks!

  It might help to know all the settings you used to create the QT.

  But it sounds like your “effects aperture” setting in Avid is set for D1 (720×486) instead of DV. You’re not necessarily doing anything wrong. You just have to design graphics to fit the effects aperture your project is set at.

  Go to your Settings Tab in your Project Window, open your General Settings, and choose whether your effect apeture is set for DV25 (720×480) or ITU601 (720×486).
