I have a panasonic AG-HMC150 and imported a clip (MTS) to AE for exporting. It’s about 4 minutes long and about 25 seconds into it it starts stuttering the video (not the audio) for about 30 seconds. After the 30 seconds it’s fine. I’ve watched the original mts file and it does not stutter. Anyone know why it would do this and how to get around it? I shot the clip with the camera set to 24p. After Effects interpreted the frame rate correctly. But do I need to do a pulldown for it? If so, could that be what’s causing it? If so I would think it’d stutter through the whole video. Thanks.

Thanks Dave. Is there a best practice way of converting this type of file? Usually I bring the file into vegas and export it as a .mov file to use in AE. However there are times when vegas gets to 75% and never completes. Thanks.
