  4 channel audio record

  Hi…

  This is my first post, and I searched a little bit before posting…. I couldn’t find anything about this issue,
  and I hope you re patient with me.

  I tried to record a video edited in Avid MC 2.8.3, with 4 audio channels, DV-25 NTSC, in a sony HVR-M25N but everything I try gives me only 2 channels at the decks VU, and even on Audio Tool on Avid. (Windows XP SP2), Analogic MOjo. I configured the deck to receive audio as 32k. And to receive input DV.

  What I have is a timeline with 4 audio channels, in 32 bit, and I want to record them on the above deck via firewire.

  Will Avid do this? Some people told me that I should go on Project Settings – Audio Project- Output and clicking on the “stereo” button for a couple seconds I should pick the “Direct OUt” that will appear. But is always dimmed.

  I tried disconnecting mojo, rebooting the sys, deleting prefs, reinstalling Avid, buyiing another audio card for windows (Soundblaster SE 24 bits), everything I could imagine. But still I can’t record 4 audio channels into a deck. Using Analogic Mojo or not.

  Anyone can help me?

  your avid’s meters are for stereo out so just two will show unless ya change it to direct.
  Assuming you are laying off to beta sp, of course yuo won’t see channels 3 and 4 till you are actually recording video.
