    Hi There,

I’m working on meridiend systems running on the 0S9 platform. One of the shows we’re working on is planned to be finished in HD. We are going to start to work in low rez SD offline and then send everything elsewhere for the finishing. I will be digitizing footage from DVC Pro HD tapes shot on the Panasonic HDX 900 and HDV tapes shot from the Sony V1U. My basic question is will it be a easier workflow from SD to HD if I made the project in 30i or should I go the 24p route so as framerates will match later in online. Ultimately this is will be finished for broadcast television so techincally there is no need to plan for film outs and such. The MC software is fairly old (11.xx versions I believe) so there is no option for 23.98 project settings. Any thoughts?

Also if I do go the 24p way, do I still need to be concerned with digitizing on 0 or 5 frames to avoid audio sync issues?

Thanks in advance for any input
