Hello all looking for a little help here. I have a Avid Adrenailine 2.2.5 im working with and am having 3 issues with it.

    1. Has any one ever been able to capture via firewire HDV footage from an FX1? I have the timeline set up and configured to hdv however it never sees the camera, and yes windows does see it once its pluged in to the port.

    2. Does any one know of a product that would hook to a sony dsr 1800 dvcam deck that would give it deck control and time code to the Adreaniline system? Right now the deck is hooked up SDI.

    3. The system is a HP 3800 system build and sold with the Avid Adrenailine 2.2.5 box and softwear. We also have a galexy raid ever once in a while the computer will boot up fine and go right to windows but more ofton then not when it boots up it frezzes right after is starts to search for the atto raid. Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Matt

You need a deck control cable to control your DSR1800. It’s a Rosetta stone RS232 to RS422 converter.

    1. I have an FX-1. I purchased it because I had just purchased an HDV native MC adrenaline. I found out on the fly it’s not HDV natice at all. bummer.
While I capture via firewire from it in SD all the time, I have v 2.1.7 so no HD here ever. It’s a drag capturing with the camera because Avid is so buggy with devices being plugged in and unplugged. I always have to delete all decks and then assign em again due to DNA errors.
    2. and rs422 converter will do ya
    3. Avid drives are yer buddy to this very day, man. I had Medea drives that would sometimes come up empty. I’ve never had a problem with an Avid drive on an Avid.
