  Help with animated stroke on spline

  Hi,

  Think of this: we all remember Morse Code… dots and dashes spell out words. Now think of writing a message in Morse Code and then have those series of dots and dashes animated to move along a spline.

  Any ideas about how to accomplish this? Something sort of like the Vegas Effect, but that doesn’t really work. It only allows dots, and getting crisp circles is not really an option.

  Search for an appropriate dingbat font online and use AE’s Text Tool.

  Off the top of my head: draw your spline, use Vegas to make the dots. Duplicate your spine layer, use Vegas to make the dashes. Fiddly, but may be possible.
