I have been editing a big project shot on DV. Now I want to do the on line on a 1:1 resolution. The problem is that the original tapes are in bad shape and might have many drops on the video and audio tracks.
Is there any point in redigitizing or is it the same if I transcode the media to 1:1.
Maybe it would be the same if I render all the effects to 1:1 resolution?
Does any body have any experience with this issue
    Thanks,
    Yair

If the original tapes are DV, then I don’t see the advantage of going to 1:1 resolution….I always think that it is better to stay in native resolution….but you can render the effects into 1:1 by changing the resolution in the media creation setting…
