  • Another problem: I need to change project framerate

Posted by David Ciavarella on August 25, 2008 at 11:57 pm

When I started my project, I set it to 24p I believe. I now realize this may have been a mistake as I am encountering problems with interlacing video upon trying to export my timeline to a .mov file. How do I change my project’s framerate from 24p to 30 NTSC?

You can either transcode or just recapture using an EDl. It really is a pain to have to transcode because it will take up double the space on your drives and more time depending on the size of your project. I have always found it easier to just recapture.

Your problem is because of bad in-points. Your in-points probably landed on duplicate frames causes a stutter, right?

It’s probably to late but for the record and for other facing the same saituation

    you can try to:
ºCreate a new project with the right framrate.
ºIn the avid projects folder, copy the bins containing
the wrong framerate sequences to the new project.

–>avid should ask if you want it to make new sequences with the right framrate. say yes.

verify if no black frame appeared, maybe recreate precomputes. tchek it out.

    good luck!
