  flamethrower again!!!

  Hi peeps

  After the recent post of mine about the flamethrower timeout error we have tried many solutions but it ain’t liking it.

  As our dongle was for version 2.7 we had to downgrade the osx back to 10.4.9 from 10.4.11 and back to QT 7.1.6. That was a complete reinstall with wiped hard drive so as to eliminate all problems recurring.

  the problems did return however and with all the support we have had the flamethrower still burns.

  Here’s the situation so you all know.
  We moved to a G5 tower osx 10.4.9 Avid version 2.7.2 QT version 7.1.6
  We are on firewire drives and this probably is the problem. Scuzzi by the end of the day (until then!)
  tried different cables
  different firewire bus 400 & 800 for the G-Tech
  uninstall/reinstall
  checked all media for renders and sample rate mishaps

  any help would be appreciated.

  Whenever I have flamethrower errors they have to do with reference. Try switching the internal and reference.
