• Avid Media Composer

  anybody experience this one?

  I upgraded to 2.8 (on G5 sys 10.4.11) (was told by AVID it was safe to upgrade…)
  Anyhow…i go to load/launch my Audio Suite tool and it crashes every single time!!!! It haults when loading the plugins…
  My mojo is connected during this …fyi
  Anyhow…pretty baffling…
  anyone out there see this one yet?

  I think we’ve all seen bugs with updates.
  Reload that version or go back to the last version.

  Do you have demo plugins that have expired? I’ve heard of them causing problems as the program loads.

  You could remove all audio suite plugins and see if it boots. If so, start adding them back in one at a time until you find the culprit.
