  Capturing HDV FORMAT

  Hello
  I have shot on a Sony Z1 HDV Camera on HDV format at 1080/50i
  I am using Avid Xpress Pro 5.7
  I want to know if i can capture the footage in true definition using 1394 port.

  I can only vouch for the 60 version which will get you every bit of the original heavily compressed signal as it is a bit to bit copy. Not sure if 50 is supported or not.

  hey thanx…but i managed to capture it using a sony z1…seems to be wrkng fine…hoping to get an output on a tape now
