I have an old Avid Media Composer v 6.5.3 running in a Powermac 9600, and it’s still running fine and I still do a lot of jobs with it.
But a couple of days ago my Janus compression board failed.
I’m getting a white screen with a error message (exception: DVR_SLIC_TIMEOUT_ERR).
I ask if someone knows a source where I can find old AVID cards to sell. Mine is a compression board Janus PCI Willy Version 1.
    Any help will be apreciated.

ebay. Where old Avids don’t die, they just get parted out…

I love that people are still doing serious cutting with 10 year old suites. Man those things returned on their investment.

I second the eBay suggestion. If you can’t find the part you’re looking for, check out some other older Avid bits, there are a bunch of sellers who are basically Avid wreckers, if they don’t have it listed they may still have it available, contact them and ask. I know we’ve picked up old Avid boards that way.
