This is a question about VideoRAID but more of how it performs in MCA. I have installed and configured a new VideoRAID 2.5TB. It is capturing fine but the only way I can get the new partitions to show up for 1:1 res in the capture tool is to turn Drive Filtering off. Is this normal? Seems if each channel of the VideoRAID is capable of 320MBps, they should show up with filtering turned on.

    My config…
XW8000, MCA v.2.0.2, ATTO UL4D in slot 5 (embedded LSI controller is disabled in the BIOS). I created 6 Dynamic Stripes across both channels of the VideoRAID.

    It’s normal.

I believe drive filtering will filter out any non-Avid branded drives. It sounds like you’re running storage that wasn’t bought directly from Avid with their name on it, so just turn off drive filtering like you have and capture away.

That makes sense. The VideoRAID is an Avid product but it’s hardware is branded Medea…the RAID shows as Medea hardware in the BIOS at startup.

    Thanks.
