  Where to get Quicktime 5 for Mac OS X (NOT .exe files)?

  At work I have an Avid Meridien (12.1.1) on Mac OS 10.2.6 that has somehow had Quicktime wiped from its apps folder. I want to fix that.

  From what I can determine, the highest version of Quicktime that is compatible with this setup is Quicktime 5 – due to Meridien Media Composer 12.1.1.

  I can’t find a Quicktime 5 for Mac anywhere on the web (there are no backup disks anywhere in the office, either). I find .exe’s once in a while, but in at least 15 hours searching I haven’t found a Mac version yet. The Apple website only goes back to QT 6.

  Can anyone refer me to some old software resources where I could get a standalone installer for Quicktime 5 for Mac OS 10.2.6?

  Or – can anyone tell me if I’m wrong, and Meridien Media Composer 12.1.1 really can work with a higher version of Quicktime?

  Bottom line – you can use QT 6 for 12.0
