Camtasia in PC or Snapz Pro in Mac. I had some experience for medical education serie. Camtasia 5 works great and is very easy to edit. But then I had to do render in Avid for DVD encoding. But I’m not professional.

Take the Powerpoint presentation and select “File, Save As. . .”

In the filetype dropdown, you will see you can also save the Powerpoint slides as JPG’s, PNG’s etc.

These can easily be resized to full screen video and imported, or you can access them using Pan and Zoom if that would be more effective in some cases.

When I have used this technique, it saves the entire presentation to a series of images.

Thanks a lot. It sounds easy enough. I’m going to test it out on one of my slide shows.

Make sure you use the TIFF option. All other options compress the image.

Also, if this is for air, or at least going to be played over a standard def TV set, make sure all the essential text is in title safe. Also, make sure the colors are all broadcast safe. If the whites are too white, the audio will buzz.

And make sure all the type is readable on screen. Some presenters cram a bunch of info onto each slide. If you have the powerpoint file, break down some of the more dense material into multiple slides. Only one or two ideas per slide.
