    Hi,

It seems that the only way I can watch my effects on my timeline is to render them … EVERY SINGLE TIME i lay an effect down! I’ve tried going down to the green/yellow button and switching that around, but still no luck.

On my PC version of Avid express pro 5.7 I can just watch my cut without having to render everything first. Is there a setting on the mac version of 5.7 that fixes this? It’s frustrating, not to mention time consuming to have to render evey time I change an effect.

I can scrub slowly over the effect and see it, but in playback mode, i have to render it. This sucks. I’ve never had this happen to me before (my other Avid is a PC version.

    Here’s my system info:

    MAC OS10
    VER 10.4.10
PROCESSOR: 2 X 2.66GHZ DUEL CORE INTEL XEON
    MEMORY: 4GB 667MHZ DDR2 FB-DIMM

    RUNNING AVID EXPRESS PRO 5.7
    project was digitized at 1:1

    Thanks!

Under your Clip menu make sure Render on the Fly is checked.

    Michael.
