It seems like about one in every three attempts at capturing a clip gives me a warning.

“Exception: An unidentified error has occurred while capturing.”

I hit “okay” and hit the record button again and then it captures the clip without any issues. Do I have a setting wrong that is causing this? It’s getting annoying.

Also, I am using a Sony HVR-M15U for a deck, yet my Avid can only recognize it as “Generic DV Basic Device-NTSC.” Is there something I download anywhere that will recognize my deck?

rebooting does get old but yer gonna have to do it every day.
This is why so many miss the good ole days of Avid. I’ve gone from 2 crashes a month to 2 crashes a day.
