We have an Avid Adrenalin 12.1 on a PC and cannot get the Avid OMF DVCPro DV video files to play. The Avid monitor reads “Wrong Format” The format in the Avid is 30i, 4×3.
In the Avid bin it reads the file as DV25.
    The files were organized OMF
These same files play fine in an Avid Media Composer 2.5x PC and an Avid Express Pro HD 5.7 on a Mac.

    Any thoughts?

I think you are not using enough dilithium crystals, Mr. Scott. 🙂

Did you say the files are DVCPro? That’s not DV25, it’s DV50.

Are the projects the footage plays fine in on the MC and the AXP DV25 projects?

Can you copy the OMF files from the MC to the MCA in question and have them play there?

Come on Scotty I need More!!—

The FS 100 will capture DVCProHD, DVCPro50 and what it calls DVCPro/ DV25. It was set to the latter. Then it captures as Avid OMF format.
This works fine in AXP and MC2x. Copying the files wouldn’t work because they do not import and are not altered because they are already Avid OMF. I just bring them in with the media tool and drag to a bin instantly from the Firestore which acts as the hard drive. They are gathered by the media tool in the Adrenaline 12.x and dragged to a bin but the source window reads.. “Wrong format” when you double click it. They make it into the bin and register as DV25 but will not play. I think I’m looking for format options in the initial project set up for the Adrenaline.

The Adrenaline is not at this location. I’m trying to share the media with another editor at the local CBS affiliate.
