When performing a digital cut to tape there is intermittent low noise (almost like static) on the tape. When played straight from the time line it plays and records fine but as soon as I try to perform a digital cut the noise comes back. The noise is in same place each attempt but not consistent through the whole (97minute) sequence. I need the program to start at 01:00:00.00 (sequence time) otherwise I would just crash it in.

Below are the details of the system etc.

    Avid Xpress 5.7.2 SDI Mojo
SDI connection to a Panasonic DVCPRO deck
    Intel Mac
Footage is digitized from HDCAM to DV25

I’ve switched all cables and have narrowed it down to either software (Avid) or the Mojo.

I’ve tried switching from SDI to analog audio, mixed the audio down, tried switch from DF to NDF.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, my deadline is Sunday to get this out.

    Cheers
    Craig

create some new user settings and give it a whirl under those settings. That all I have for the hum, man. (assuming this has never happened before)
If tat doesnt work and you have to get it on tape, backtime yur tc on your deck and sequence. You will be ale to crash within frames of your 1 hour start. You will at least have something to ship then you can troubleshoot further.
