Have to Force Quit everytime
Hi – I have Avid Xpress DV 4.6 on a Dual 1.8 G5 with OS 10.4.9
I have to Force Quit everytime I wanna exit the application – ie whenever I finish and close the program down it just freezes and does nothing. I can flip to another app, say Safari, and everything else runs fine. Just Avid.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Avid. Twice! No good. Still have to Force Quit everytime. Weird.
Just wondering if anybody has experienced this or know how I can fix? I dont wanna ask at the Apple forums because they’re really snobby when it comes to Avid. Asked a question once and got yelled at by everyone!

I wish I had an aswer for ya but I offer support instead.
I have forced quit much more than just quitting with my adrenaline.

It might be because you’re running the wrong OS. According to the ReadMe, found here:

Xpress DV 4.6 for the Mac runs on 10.3.4 or 10.3.5. Roll back your OS to an approved version and see if it makes a difference. Otherwise, time to upgrade your software or live with the force quit!
