    Hi everyone,
I am having a problem when I am playing back a video clip or a sequence. The video stops and starts intermittently without being able to complete a smooth playback. I managed to narrow down the problem to a specific hard disk. It is a seagate SATA II 500 gigabytes which I divided into two partitions of approximately 250 gigs each. The clips on the the other hard disk (another seagate 160 gigs SATA I)is playing back fine. I run the short diagnostic test with seagate’s software seatools and the hard disk passes the test. Before today the seagate 500 gigs was playing the video clips fine. I thought that maybe it was an overheat problem so I let the disk to cool down for about half an hour but the problem consisted. I am running AVid Xpress Pro 5.2 on windows pc with 2gigs of ram and pentium D processor.Any help will be greatly appresciated. Thanks

    Hi.
if this is a HD problem then u should try copying your Media Files to anothe Partition then hide the ones u have problems with and check it out.

do you have the same problem with projects of same setting?

    whats your video card?

for starters, try changing monitor resolution on where your avid can play smoothly.

then we’ll take it from there…
