  is possible to replace a clip inside a multicam group?

  Not in Avid. FCP allows you to add to the group after it’s created.

  if you really mean replace and are willing to ditch one of the origional clips then yes, and if you have corresponding code…I’ve done this a while back, not in front of machine now but…

  ditch or unlink the media within the origional master clip, then reconform/reload/relink the replacement clip to the origional.

  Though it really should be available as a function rather than a workaround, being able to replace a master clip with a multicam group would also be a great feature.
